A letter from the organisers of this year’s Westpac Rescue Ball event:

“Thank you for being part of the 25th Annual Rescue Ball – Medieval Night. Your involvement in our premier fundraising event has helped raise in excess of $220,000 for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.

This astounding result is a testament to the generous support of our community; our event sponsors, prize donors and guests. The continuing success of the Rescue Ball over the past 25 years is thanks to your support and for that we are grateful.
The money raised at the Rescue Ball helps to ensure that our Rescue Helicopter is there for our community 24 hours per day, 7 days per week with no one ever having to pay to be assisted.

We would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to every person who attended this year’s event.

1400 guests were treated to fire breathing, harp playing, a pipe band and medieval fighters.

Our fabulous emcees NewFM Novos Kim and Steve kept the evening flowing while Akinga had guests up and dancing.
Paddy Slattery held the floor during the live auction and we are pleased to say Aircrewman Graham Nickisson’s helmet has found a fitting home with the Jenkins family.

In January 2016 Melissa Jenkins was crushed by a horse and Graham was part of the Rescue Helicopter crew that assisted her.

We look forward to seeing you at the 2018 Rescue Ball – Friday 14 September at the Newcastle Entertainment Centre. ”

A1 Audio is proud to be an event sponsor for the annual Rescue ball, providing audio, lighting and vision for the event each year. The changing theme of each event is an ongoing challenge that we enjoy undertaking, employing our production equipment in a format that provides both party and corporate atmospheres for various segments of the evening.
